Project Timeline
DAY 1
Foundation Preparation
Work started by packing in 2½ yards of dirt under the crawlspace to fill the sinkhole that had formed. We then formed the footing, installed the rebar for reinforcement, and poured the concrete. We also built the wall that would support the foundation and allow us to install the helical piers.
DAY 2
Repair & Rebuild
The next day, we returned to find 4 inches of rain had washed away all the fresh concrete. We had to remove the damaged footing, reform it, install new rebar, and pour the concrete again before the repair could continue.
DAY 3
Helical Pier Installation
Once the new footing had cured, we installed the helical piers beneath the home and permanently stabilized the foundation. The wall was completed, and the structure was carefully lifted back toward its original position.
DAY 4
Final Restoration & Inspection
With the foundation stabilized, the remaining structural repairs were completed. The crawlspace was cleaned, all equipment was removed, and the repair was inspected to ensure everything met Lamunyon’s quality standards.
Final Result
Despite a failed repair from another contractor and significant weather delays, the home was successfully restored with the correct foundation repair solution. The homeowner finally had peace of mind knowing the foundation was safe, stable, and built to last.
The recent hail storm hit Salina very hard. The hail punctured my TPO roof in several areas which lead to water entering my building. From my first phone call Jeremiah explained what the company could do and met me at my building to begin working within 2 hours after I told him that I wanted him to do the job. When he arrived he explained everything that he was going to do in a professional way. Before he left that day he asked again if I had any questions. The previous owners of our home had a partial foundation repair done in the basement. When we needed to continue the work, we needed to use the same company to tie into the previous work. The Lamunyon bid came in a bit higher than others, but we felt that the company seemed to have the best knowledge and only ability to bring all the work together without adding new sump pumps. The wait to get scheduled was a bit farther out than we would have preferred to get started, but we were very pleased with the work that was completed. The employees assigned to our house were David and Ralph. They were kind, respectful, always on time, and worked incredibly hard! My husband and I both work from home, on zoom, and even with the noise of machines, they would come in and out quietly and did not disturb our daily routine. Everyone knows what foundational repairs look like, and I can see many have added their own images. So I'm including my favorite part of this whole experience - the love David and Ralph showed to our dog! Charlie was their biggest fan, and they were hers! She got a head pat, ear scratches and a bit of quiet chit-chat each and every time they came in and out. After three days of work, I know she'll miss seeing them!

Cody deserves some kind of award. He spent 45 minutes diagramming the different ways footings and foundations are constructed. He did a complete walkthrough of my house and assessed the crack in the wall in my master bedroom. Then, he got kind-a quiet and said, "Let's go outside." When he approached the SW corner of my house in the backyard, he pointed and said, "That's the problem."I've got zero guttering, spout extensions or drainage control in that SW-side of my house. The last bout of heavy rain several months ago completely washed out the soil and caused my foundation to settle about 1/4 inch (hence the crack in my bedroom wall). Initial calls and emails as well as site visit by Cody and David went well. Stan and I are completely satisfied with the services provided by Lamunyon. We had a broken main water pipe which caused water deep enough to cause waves from wall to wall across a large part of our basement. We called Lamunyon and are extremely happy with the way Jeremiah and his team came in and immediately assessed the damage and handled the restoration process. We had some settling along the front wall of our house to the point where we saw cracks in the wall and our front door wasn't operational. Lamunyon was then recommended to come in and stabilize the house so it wouldn't sink anymore. They quoted us needing 8 helical piers up to 20 feet deep to help stabilize the stem wall that was holding up our slab house. Unfortunately due to the type of soil under my house, we had to go deeper than 20 feet on them all so we had some overages. The cost for those overages was laid out ahead of time by Cody, who did the bid, and again reconfirmed by Matt before he started working. Everyone I worked with was fantastic and answered all of my questions. Starting from the initial call into the office to set up a bid, to Cody coming out to see what was going on as well as explaining his process for how he got to the bid numbers and last but not least the work that Matt, Jeff, Jonah and David all did to get the piers in place and fill in the hole. These were all a great experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is having foundation issues!! They also quoted us for three days work and that is what it took even though they had more work than they originally planned for due to the soil being a little more sandy and loose. Once again thank you for the work you did! It is one of those things that I would hope I never need to have done again but at least I know who my first call will be to!

Cody came out to the house to give my husband and I an estimate. He advised that it would take a few weeks for scheduling which was fine. During the consultation Cody was thorough with the process and the time it would take to fix the leak. I had my foundation stabilized. The whole process was very easy and all that I spoke with were very professional. The work was very well done. I was referred by a local rug dealer who helped me call Lamonyan. That was at about 5 PM in the evening. I had a footing raised that had settled due to the clay soil drying. The job required 7 helical piers that support the brackets under the footing. The brackets raised and stabilized the footing. The job took 3 and a half days. The team of Matt and Kyle were punctual, professional, explained everything and did outstanding work. The footing is now level and stable.

We had a very good experience dealing with Lamunyon. They were the third company we had come to assess our foundation problems. I am by no means a foundation expert, but I have extensively remodeled several houses. This is the first house that had serious foundation problems. Windows close to the northwest corner of the house would not open or close, and could not be locked. The first two companies gave us solutions that did not seem to pinpoint the area of our problem.When Brent, from Lamunyon, gave us his proposal, it called for push piers and helical piers in the area where we were having problems. Everything he proposed seemed to make more sense. When the work crew, Matt, Kyle and Tyler, came out to do the actual work, they were great to work with. They kept us informed on what they were doing and why it had to be done. They all worked extremely hard and got the job done ahead of schedule even though it rained on the day they raised the house. The problem area of the house was raised approximately 3 inches. I felt comfortable with Matt’s expertise and was comfortable taking his advice on the whole project. Our windows now open, close and lock. Matt, the project lead, also reduced our total cost since they did not have to drill as deep as originally estimated to hit stable ground.

Lamunyon installed a water drainage system to a sump with pump in our crawlspace, insulated and sealed existing vents, encapsulated the stem walls and floor of the crawlspace and insulated the the stem walls. They also spray foam insulated the rim joint. I could not be happier with the quality of work and attention to detail by Matt, Erik and Tyler, they are the best.

When our basement flooded due to a major plumbing leak, Lance and crew were here in less than four hours. That's after a two hour drive. They got right to work moving the furniture, getting the water picked up and setting up the fans and dehumidifiers. I had my crawl space encapsulated. Drain tile, sump pump and insulation installed. The project took five days with the entrance to the space in the master bedroom closet. I was filled with trepidation for the potential of disruption and the trashing of the area since we would sleep there each night.I could not have been more impressed, work was done most expeditiously and the area was kept clean throughout the day. They were punctual on starting each day and the disruption to us was minimal. I was kept appraised of progress regularly. Two unexpected issues were encountered and extra effort was required but they persevered and keep within cost and schedule.The only complaint I have is that it took so long to schedule the project due to their project backlog but I’m sure the quality of their work drives the demand and backlog.It was refreshing to be ecstatic as a customer instead of just satisfied at best or disappointed at worst!Steve C. I had a toilet leak and it ran down into the lower level of the home through the ceiling. I called at 5 on Friday and Candace and Dustin were there by 7 and stayed until 11 that evening. Lance and Candace came out several times to make sure everything was getting dried out with their fans. Everyone was very polite and professional throughout the process. A good experience with all their staff.

Lamunyon was called in to perform the essential basement waterproofing since we intended to turn the basement into a new den. The price was quite fair, and the work was done satisfactorily.
We couldn't be more pleased with the job that was done by Lamunyon on our basement. From the initial consultation, to the work performed, to wrapping everything up, they made it as seamless as possible. We had a combination of anchors, steel walers, drainage, water proofing, and sump pump installed. Matt and his crew were some of the hardest working guys I have met. Matt did a fantastic job of explaining why and how everything was going to be done. I never felt in the dark or left wondering why something was happening. I had my basement waterproofed.Daryl, David, Deshawn,I told them I would do the demo before they got here. I did not finish it all before they came. As far as professionalism, friendliness and hard work ethic go, Matt, Daryl, Gio and Hunter did an incredible job installing my drain tile! The information given by the lead on the job was informative and on point. Fantastic business and service. We had some mold growth take off in our basement, and Lamunyon was able to perform the preliminary inspection, treatment, and wrap up all in a matter of weeks. The work was pretty extensive -- drywall and carpet removal, top to bottom cleaning of pretty much every surface in the basement, and duct cleanout. For all they did, I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it ended up being. Every technician was very professional, treated everything in the house with respect, and were even great around nosey dog. They have nothing but my highest recommendation. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

I've used Lamunyon Dry Out and Foundation repair twice now. The first time they installed drain tile along one wall for a damp spot and a sump pump with battery backup. It worked wonders so I called them to install drain tile and encapsulation on all the walls. Daryl McDaniels and Matt Jackson are polite, professional, and the hardest workers I've seen in a while. I highly recommend Lamunyon!

Came home from work in Arizona to a wet basement following the rain we got in early May. Called and was able to get on the schedule for the following morning-a Saturday-for an estimate of the damage. Jamie and his assistant arrived at my house in the late morning. They looked throughout my basement from the finished area to the laundry room and bathroom and provided an explanation of everything and why. Within several hours of their arrival, I had an estimate, the damage removed from the basement and fans set up to help the dehumidifying process. Bonus points that they took the water damaged not-so-dry wall and carpet away so I didn’t have to worry about it. Because they contained their work to the basement and created a negative pressure room, Jamie had taken photos of the area where the leak was very likely. By doing this, I was able to see the damage that I wouldn’t have even known about. They returned to my house twice to pull equipment out and look at the progress. Very happy with their communication as well as speed and how well they got my basement dried out.
Caleb and Eian were a great team. They were efficient, responsible, and respectful. They did good job. Matt and Jessica installed the sump pump, and explained how it worked and what to watch for. They too were efficient, responsible and respectful.I would definitely refer LaMunyon to anyone who has issues with their crawl space.

Of course emergencies occur after hours on a Friday night. Such was our situation when a water line valve developed a leak. We called Lamunyon for assistance with the clean up and were so happy with their professional and timely response.Jamie was our first responder and came out immediately to assess the situation. Arriving after 9:00 p.m. and staying until nearly midnight, Jamie stayed until the situation was contained and determined that the house was safe. Lance followed up the next day and assigned Jed and Jess as our clean up team. We cannot say enough good things about this team and their conscientious and professional treatment of this process. I was very pleasantly surprised at the care the entire team took to be clean! Our project ended up being more difficult than expected. Everyone worked very hard and kept a great attitude,working very much later than planned. We are very thankful for their service!

Jamie and Tim were amazing! The cleanout was supposed to take two days. Because of the extreme heat, their machines struggled and they had to bring out two extra trucks. BUT, because of their hard work, persistence, and willingness to stay until almost 7 pm, they got the job finished the same day. And, they hooked my washer and dryer back up for me when they came the next week to finish and get their drying equipment (it's the little things, really😁)! Will always recommend Lamunyon for this kind of service. 10 out of 10!!!

Leaky basement combined with basement walls pushing in. Lots of bids but Lamunyon sold us, not on price but on work to be performed combined with being professional, courteous, and listening. The workers did exactly what they said they'd do, they were careful around the house, and they cleaned up when done. Time will tell whether the work performed resolved the two issues but for today we are pleased.
Lamunyon did a great job on our work from start-to-finish. Their system has a better warranty than the two other competitors who bid the job. Their price was also much lower. I was able to call and immediately speak with the person who bid the job. The actual working crew was also friendly and did a nice job discussing each phase of the work, cleaning up each day, and keeping us informed of the timeline. I would use them again (although we hope to never need them again!) and recommend them to my family and friends.

Lamunyon was quick to respond, well- prepared and were able to get to work immediately on our mitigation needs. Any additional issues that came up during mitigation were taken care of promptly. I appreciated the professionalism and confidence of the staff to perform the needed work. They're pricey but worth it. I would use their services again if the need arised.
I needed a repair to my encapsulation after having a plumbing issue. LaMunyon's workers were fast, courteous and professional. I appreciate that they show before and after photos.
Very pleased with their communication and establishing estimates as well as the thorough inspection. The crew that preformed foundation repairs were knowledgeable and respectful. They stayed late to complete repairs in one day instead of the scheduled two days. They left my home and property in better condition then when they arrived. They cleaned up debris and trash, even though some of what they picked up was not theirs. Lamunyon Restoration was 15,000.00 cheaper than the other companies I consulted. Lamunyon Restoration chose a different solution to make repairs not only cost effective but also efficiently repairing my failing foundation.
