Meet The Team

Mike and his wife Arlene started Lamunyon Dry Out & Foundation Repair back in 1973 and now have been in business for over 4 decades. What started as a window cleaning/janitorial business is now an emergency water damage/foundation repair business. They have two adult children and still enjoy spending time together as a family. Mike enjoys helping people recover from disasters and consulting with them regarding their foundation issues. In fact the tagline on company trucks and business cards say “When Big Surprises Strike Your Home.” Mike particularly enjoys volunteer work, and served in the prison ministry for 33 years while living in Hutchinson. He also volunteers to help individuals with their marital and family issues. He finds joy and happiness in helping others get through their difficulties in life. In business Mike obsesses about making cheerleaders out of his clients, going the extra mile, putting on our ‘customer’s eye glasses’ and delivering ‘Positive Moments of Truth’. A special note to our customers: “We are here to serve the needs of others and to make life better when big surprises strike your home”.

Alex is our General Manager and certified in all areas of our industry. He has an extensive background in construction too. His upbringing covers Nebraska, Utah, Idaho and Oregon so his hobbies include the outdoors, naturally! Like several of our guys he enjoys hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He and his wife are kept busy with their three daughters and now grandson. He enjoys the different challenges the job brings and wants our customers to know, ‘you can’t do this yourself. After working in public health, Laura has been our Office Manager since 2013. She traded issuing WIC vouchers for reconciling payroll and bank checks. She loved helping her WIC clients and now she is glad to help her staff, co-workers, and customers at Lamunyon. Her favorite movies are “A Walk in the Clouds” and “Me Before You”; have tissues ready for the latter. Her favorite quote is, “Embrace the glorious mess that you are.”

Cody is our Foundation Repair Sales Manager, focused on helping locals with basement waterproofing and foundation repairs. Cody enjoys helping people most and is proudly certified in all areas of our industry. Cody was born in Clay Center, and was raised on a farm nearby. His background is in construction and drywall – both of which come in handy here! Cody, his wife and two children often enjoy hunting and fishing year-round. I was born and raised in Oklahoma. My wife and kids moved to Kansas a few years ago after purchasing her great-grandparents house. How long have we been here? Too long. It’s cold and the wind never stops. I enjoy playing cards, board games, and going on trips with my family. We have one dog (Marlee) and one cat (Aurora). My wife, Marissa, and I have two kids (Boone, 3; and Maliah, 8.) Maliah is really good at art and is creative. Boone just likes Spiderman. My hidden talent is being good at finding 4-leaf clovers. When I was little, my Dad told me that “crying doesn’t fix anything” and “nobody wants to hear it.” So, “stay calm and generate a new plan.”

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. I moved to Kansas the first time in 2004 and went back to Colorado in 2008. I moved back to Kansas in 2019. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering my time to teach others and conducting research on a variety of subjects. We have four cats at home. Their names are Aggashi, Si, Sea Biscuit, and M. My wife is my best friend. Formerly working in construction out of Kansas City, Lance continues to hone his restoration skills here and is a much-appreciated member of the crew! His dedication shines in the details of his work. In his free time, you’ll find Lance restoring old cars, playing volleyball and when the weather is nice, a round of golf of two. I am from Nebraska but I have lived in Kansas for five years (as of 2023). I enjoy fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and wood working. My wife is a special education teacher in Olsburg, KS and my son is a 5 year old who loves adventure. Our daughter is under a year old and rolls all over the place. We have two dogs: Tink (Australian Shephard) and Walter (Akita). We also have a jelly fish we have not named yet. The best advice I have heard is: “We are what we repeatedly do. David joined Lamunyon in 2011 and is well versed in our industry. As a Clay Center native, David has a long history of customer service work and service industry related knowledge. He and his wife Christy, along with their daughter, stay busy with a long-standing family tradition of playing Canasta and enjoying backyard vacations.

David is our Foundation Repair Production Foreman. Having been with us since 2012, he’s certified in all areas of our industry. He was born in Galveston, Texas and has been involved in a variety of construction fields. He and his wife enjoy staying busy with their three children and 3 dogs, Bud, Jersey and Honey. His hobbies include fishing and playing the drums. I am originally from Massachusetts and moved to Nebraska in 2008 and then to Kansas in 2012. I enjoy fishing, model cars, target shooting and spending time with my six kids and two grandchildren (KSU and Baker). We have a bearded dragon named “Fury” and two cats named “Molly” and “Tiger”. I enjoy calling out football plays before they line up. My father always told me to “Not do that! You will regret it when you’re older.” – He was right!
